DG-1 and DG-4 use a rotator rather than a slewing ring — more compact, less to maintain, and rotation speed unaffected across 10–35 l/min. Everything from DG-6 up runs a heavy-duty slewing ring with adjustable rotation and open/close speed.

One cylinder, cushioned
Fewer leaks
A single cylinder with cushion at the end of the opening stroke. Fewer hydraulic components means fewer places to weep oil.
No drain line needed
Simpler plumbing
The rotation motor needs no drain line, and a brake valve protects the motor seals.
Grease in one position
Maintenance
Oversized pins, replaceable bushings with dust seals, and one greasing position — so it actually gets done.
All grabs have a flat top fixing, so any bolt-on adaptor bracket will suit — mechanical or hydraulic quick hitch, or direct to any make of excavator. Side covers and arm covers for loading work, and breaker plates for heavier demolition, are options, and NPK will look at arm width changes for special applications.
Sorting or demolition
Same tool, two jobs.
A grab that can sort is a grab that earns between demolition jobs. The DG series is built for both — heavy enough at the cutters for structure, controlled enough on rotation and closing speed for sorting and loading, and both speeds adjustable through a hole in the swivel top rather than a trip to the workshop.
Cutters, bushings, pins and seals held or sourced here, and the whole grab rebuilt in Ballyclare when it comes to it.
