R models carry a 360° hydraulic rotator, which earns its keep in confined and inner-city work. Everything from C-3D up has the self-aligning swivel top, so you are not repositioning the machine for every plate.

The swivel locks parallel or perpendicular to the boom when you do not want it moving — so you can work over, alongside or across the trench, beside foundation walls and around manholes, from wherever the machine happens to be sitting.
What it does
More than a plate on a stick.
Greater vibration force brings the air in loose material to the surface and packs the particles together; greater impulse action works with the carrier’s down-force on cohesive clay. Faster and safer than walk-behind plates, rollers and jumping jacks — and nobody is standing in the trench.

Reaches batters and steep faces a roller cannot get near, and the carrier’s own down-force works with the vibration on clay.

Wood and aluminium sheeting, fence posts, quadrail, rail and I-beams, piling and seawalls — and pulling them back out again.
Awkward material
Transfer stations
Waste compaction at transfer stations, and breaking up frozen coal, salt and the like.
Hoses run out the back, away from the trench wall. Integrated flow control and pressure regulating valves protect the motor from excess flow and pressure. Oil splash lubrication, so there is no routine greasing to forget. Rubber shock mounts keep the vibration in the compactor rather than the boom.
