Privacy notice
What we do with your details. Short version: we use them to quote, supply and support your attachment, we keep them secure, and we don’t sell them to anybody.
Who controls your data

We are the data controller for the information described here, and we are responsible for looking after it.

What we collect

| Payment details | We never see or store your card number. We do not take card payments on this website. If we send you a card payment link, the payment is taken by Stripe on their own pages; we receive confirmation that it succeeded and the last four digits, nothing more. |
Why we hold it, and our lawful basis
- To quote, supply and deliver what you ordered — because we need it to perform our contract with you.
- To support the attachment afterwards — parts, service history, warranty. This is our legitimate interest in standing behind what we sell, and it is genuinely useful to you when you ring up three years later needing a seal kit.
- To keep accounting and VAT records — because the law requires it.
- To send you occasional news about products or offers — only if you asked us to. You can stop it any time by replying or ringing.
Who we share it with
Only the people needed to do the job:
- Stripe — card payment processing, if you pay through a card payment link we send you.
- Brevo — the email delivery service that carries your enquiry from the website form to our inbox. A backup copy is kept on our own hosting so no enquiry is ever lost. Both are used only so we can reply to you.
- Hostinger — website and email hosting.
- Couriers and hauliers — your delivery name, address and phone number, so they can deliver.
- Our accountant, and Xero — our accounting system, for invoices and records.
- Manufacturers and suppliers — where a warranty claim or a parts enquiry has to go back to them, and only what that claim needs.
We do not sell your details, rent them, or pass them to anyone for marketing. If we are ever legally required to disclose information, we will do so and tell you where we are allowed to.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t become orders: two years, then deleted.
- Order, invoice and VAT records: six years after the end of the relevant financial year, as tax law requires.
- Machine and service history: for as long as we support the attachment, because that record is what lets us get you the right part years later.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have mistakes corrected, to have information deleted where we have no continuing reason to hold it, to restrict or object to what we do with it, and to have it sent to you or another provider in a portable form. Just ask — we will not make it difficult, and it is free.
If you think we have handled your information badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. It is off by default: the first time you visit, a notice at the bottom of the page asks whether that’s OK. Press “That’s fine” and an analytics cookie is set; press “No thanks” and no analytics cookie is set — the site works exactly the same either way. Your choice is remembered in your browser, and you can change it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
The statistics are anonymous to us: we see visit counts, pages viewed and rough locations, never your name. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you around the internet.
The map on our contact page comes from Google Maps. It only loads if you press “Show the map”, and Google may set its own cookies when it does.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Payment card data never reaches our systems. Our own records are held on access-controlled accounts.
