Take the grille off
A class 2 grille costs you visibility every hour of every shift. The shield gives the same certified protection with a clear view of the bucket, the shear and the banksman.
Under 40 kg
Aluminium main frame. One man and a mate can handle it — you are not hiring a lift to fit a window.
No condensation
No reflections, no glare, no icing and no dust trapped between the panes. That is the difference between a shield and two sheets bolted together.

Everything produced in-house at Skui, which is why the tolerances hold and the certification stands up.
Certification
Seven approvals, not one.
Anyone can bolt a sheet of plastic to a cab. The point of an XploSafe frame is that the whole assembly — pane, frame, gasket and mounting — has been through the test house and passed. If your client, your insurer or your principal contractor asks what the cab glazing is certified to, this is the answer.
ISO 10262 & ISO 3449
Earth-moving machinery — operator protective structures and falling-object protection. The two that matter on a demolition or quarry site.
EN 13124-2 & EN 356 P8B
Explosion and manual-attack resistance. P8B is the top rung of the EN 356 ladder for repeated axe blows.
Fitment
Built for your machine, not cut to fit.
XploSafe make model-specific frames rather than a universal panel. Every part carries a CLP item number, and the frame, clamp frame, gaskets, mounting kit and screw set are all separate line items — so a cracked pane is a pane, not a whole new shield.
What goes on a machine
A typical excavator fit is a complete windscreen (main frame, clamp frame, pane, gasket frame, gasket window, mounting kit and screw set), and then whatever else the job calls for — a boom-side toll gate in short or normal fence, a sidebar, a door pane, or upper and lower screens on a split-screen cab.
Demolition cabs have their own windscreen and replacement pane. Wheel loaders get centre, left and right screens, side and door windows and a triangle window.

If your machine is not on that list, ask anyway — the range moves and we will check the current fitment chart before telling you no.
Wear and replacement
A pane is a consumable. The frame is not.
That is the whole economic argument. The aluminium main frame and clamp frame stay on the machine. When a pane finally gets marked up beyond use, you order a replacement pane — and on the bigger machines there is a 12 mm polycarbonate Saphir option for the worst of it.
Replacement panes
Ordered on their own against the frame already fitted. Demolition cabs have a dedicated replacement pane.
Gaskets and seals
Gasket frame and gasket window are separate parts, so a perished seal is a cheap fix rather than a reason to replace the lot.
Wiper extensions
Fitting a shield moves the glass line out. Wiper arm extensions and an 1,100 mm blade keep the screen clear.

Down to the variant — an EC140E and an EC250E take different frames, and a demolition cab is different again.
Which openings
Front screen only, or front plus boom-side gate, door and sidebar. Most operators start with the front and add later.
Split or single screen
Some cabs have an upper and lower screen rather than one pane. A photo of the cab front settles it in seconds.
We fit and supply from Ballyclare and we can get the frames in alongside an attachment order. If you are already swapping a grille off a demolition machine, this is the time to do it.
