Service & repairs
Servicing, repairs & full rebuilds.
Every make of hydraulic attachment, not just the ones we sell. Workshop turnaround from Ballyclare, and mobile support when the machine cannot travel. Rock breaker, hydraulic hammer, concrete breaker or demolition hammer — if it has stopped hitting, bring it in and we will find out why.
What we do in the workshop

From a reseal to a full rebuild
Most breakers that come in need seals, bushes and a proper look at the piston. Some need everything. Either way the work is done to manufacturer standard, with the right parts, and you are told what we found rather than handed a bill.
If a repair is not economic we say so. It costs us a job and saves you a lot more.
Any make
Not just the ones we sell.
This is the part most people are surprised by. If it is a hydraulic breaker or demolition attachment, we will look at it — whatever badge is on the side and whoever sold it to you.

Different makes, different ages, all in for the same reason. We are not precious about whose name is on it.

Grabs, shears and pulverizers as well as breakers. If it runs off the machine’s hydraulics, it comes in.
Plenty of attachments end up written off because the badge on the side belongs to a company that has stopped supporting it. That is usually a parts problem rather than a machine problem — see obsolete parts, scanned and remade.
What we do
Service work.
The jobs that come through the door most weeks.
Seal & bush replacement
The routine job that stops a small problem becoming a rebuild. Done with full kits, not part kits.
Full breaker rebuilds
Stripped, measured, re-bushed, resealed, tested. Wear surfaces compared against specification rather than guessed at.
Accumulator & charge work
The usual cause of a breaker that has lost its punch but nobody can say why.
Hydraulic circuit checks
Flow and pressure against what the attachment actually needs — often the real reason a breaker underperforms.
Mobile & on-site support
When the machine cannot come off the job, we come to it.
Warranty & backup
On anything we supplied, dealt with by us directly rather than passed to a distributor.
Turnaround
Where you are in the queue.
Straight answer: nobody can promise a date on a breaker they have not opened. What we can tell you is how the queue works, because it is not first come first served — it is whoever we can actually finish.
If we sold it, it jumps the queue
The brands we carry — NPK, General Breaker, BYG, Tecna, Genesis — have seals, bushes and wear parts sitting on our shelves. There is nothing to wait for, so those machines go straight to the front.
Everything else, honestly
Any other make we will still take on, but the clock is set by whoever supplies the parts, not by us. If we are waiting on something, you will be told what and from where rather than fobbed off.
Which is the real argument for buying here
A cheaper breaker from a box-shifter costs you nothing until the day it stops. Then it is weeks, because nobody within a hundred miles holds a part for it.
What it costs to find out
A look is free. A definite answer is £100.
There is a difference between an educated guess and knowing, and it is worth being clear about which one you are getting.
The rough price — no charge
Make, model, serial number and what it is doing, by phone or photo. That is usually enough to tell you the likely job and a ballpark cost, for nothing.
£100 to strip and assess
To know for certain, it has to come apart. For £100 we strip it, measure the wear surfaces and give you the actual condition and a firm rebuild price — not an estimate that moves later.
Then it is your call
If the numbers do not stack up we will say so. You are not committed to a rebuild by having it assessed, and we would rather lose the job than talk you into a bad one.
On site
When the machine cannot travel.
Some jobs cannot stop and some machines cannot be lifted out. Hoses, couplings, charge work and diagnostics can be done where the machine is standing.

On the job rather than in the yard. Ring the mobile and tell us where you are.

Bigger jobs come back to the workshop where the tooling and the parts are.
To be clear on the logistics: we do not collect or deliver attachments. For on-site work we come to the machine; for workshop work the attachment needs to get to Unit 5, Dennison Industrial Estate in Ballyclare. Most people bring it on a trailer or send it with their usual haulier.
Before it leaves your yard
Three things and we can price it on the phone.
Bring us these and we can usually tell you what it is likely to need, and roughly what it will cost, before the attachment ever moves.
Make and model
Whatever is stamped or stencilled on the body. A photo of the plate does the job if the paint has gone.
Serial number
This is the one that matters. It pins down which variant you have, and therefore which seals and bushes actually fit.
What it is doing
Lost power, blowing oil, not firing, knocking. Symptoms narrow it down faster than any amount of guessing.
Ring 028 9335 4878 during the day, or the mobile on 07542 131513 if we are in the workshop.
While it is in
The rest of what we do.
Most service jobs need one of these before the machine goes back out.
Straight from the people who use us.
Used Hammer Tech NI Ltd for the first time last week. Service was first class from the initial enquiry to delivery the next day and after sales. Can’t wait to use them again.
Been working with hammer tech for many years never had a problem!
Tell us the carrier and the job.
We’ll tell you the right tool.
Tell us the make and model and what it’s doing — or not doing. You’ll get a probable cost for free before it comes anywhere near the workshop.
