BYG shears.

Nine Eagle Shear models covering 3 to 80 tonne carriers, plus a dedicated car-dismantling shear. All 360° rotating, all reverse-mounted cylinder with a speed valve, all built at Molins de Rei.

What the BYG shears offer

360° rotation

Full rotation on the hydraulic unit, so the operator lines the jaw up on the steel instead of repositioning the machine.

Reverse-mounted cylinder

Rod tucked away from the debris, with a speed valve so the jaw closes fast on air and slows under load.

Replaceable blades

High-quality blade sets on a bolt-on basis. We stock and supply them.

Scrap yard processing with BYG shears

Eagle Shear

JSH42 to JSH850 — 3 to 80 tonne.

Scrap processing, structural steel and the heavy end of demolition. From the JSH380 up, BYG list two build weights per model with a different carrier range for each — we confirm which one suits your machine before anything is ordered.

BYG Eagle Shear jaw

The jaw

Reverse-mounted cylinder with a speed valve behind it, so the jaw closes fast on fresh air and slows down the moment it finds steel. The blades bolt on and index round, and the whole hydraulic unit turns a full 360°.

Where two figures are shown, BYG list two configurations of the same model. Ask us and we will confirm the exact build against your carrier before you commit.

Built for heavy trucks, ship hulls and mixed scrap — the sort of work that eats a torch crew. Scrap yards and recycling centres are where these earn their keep.

Car dismantling

JHSD94 — 12 to 25 tonne.

A shear sized specifically for vehicle dismantling rather than a scaled-down demolition tool. 115 tonnes of cutting force through a 750 mm opening, on a machine most yards already own.

BYG JHSD94 car dismantling shear

Built for shells, not structures

Shorter jaw, deeper bite and 115 tonnes of force through it — sized for cutting a vehicle apart rather than a building. On a 12 to 25 tonne machine, which is what most dismantling yards already run.

Cars, vans and buses — strips a shell without a torch, which keeps the fire risk and the insurance conversation a lot simpler.
